Covid-19 Update from hopespring
Bringing hope in a time of uncertainty, helping those who cannot help themselves
Now, more than ever, we are committed to looking after the vulnerable young people in our city and region. During this crisis, it is crucial that our young people are still able to access the services that keep them safeguarded and help them thrive. Our staff are working very hard and continue to provide our services.
We have taken the measures necessary to ensure our provisions are up and running: our two therapeutic schools continue to service our vulnerable students, the 24/7 staffed Young Mums’ Supported Accommodation is remaining open, and we are still providing a weekly food shop for our care experienced young people.

Young Mums’ Supported Accommodation
Being in lockdown with little freedom and minimal entertainment can be a real challenge for young mothers and their babies. That’s why in our Young Mums’ Supported Accommodation we are working hard and continue to provide our services. We take strict measures to ensure the safety of both residents and staff during this health crisis, making sure that our young mums are well looked after and supported.
During this time we’ve seen unprecedented demand for placements from social services across the region with mothers in extremely challenging situations including domestic violence, homelessness and suicide.
Care experienced young people
Our care experienced young people are majorly affected by the circumstances we find ourselves in.
Our amazing team at hopespring provide over 80kg per week of essential groceries to our Next Steps team.
If you are able to contribute to these food provisions by donating to our appeal, you can do so here. Every little can make a huge difference!
